KSrelief Delivers Food Aid to Aden, Marib within Ramadan Project

Saudi King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed food aid in Yemen's Aden and Marib governorates.

The team distributed 150 food baskets in extension to aid delivered before to families affected by the floods in Aden.

The 11-ton aid has benefited 150 families.

Meanwhile in Marib, the Riyadh-based center distributed 670 food baskets to the displaced people.

The aid has reached up to 318 families.

The aid comes within the food baskets project implemented by the KSrelief during the holy month of Ramadan.

Separately, the Saudi center issued a statement on Wednesday saying it should be the sole authority responsible of collecting relief, charitable or humanitarian donations, whether it was originated by government or public, to deliver it to those in need outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This came after some organizations were reported to be collecting donations for some countries, societies, institutions or associations, which is contrary to orders issued in this regard.

In its statement, the center called on everyone not to respond to what is circulated in posts or clips through some media outlets, stressing that people should not get engaged in suspicious operations that fall within money laundering or terrorism financing and others, and that donations must be through the official authorized body, which is King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Saturday that his country was facing the threat of danger, after an Israeli airstrike the previous day killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

Mikati was speaking at an emergency cabinet meeting that he convened in Beirut upon returning from the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Mikati did not mention Nasrallah in his address, but his office later published a decision to hold three days of national mourning for Nasrallah

A new phase of escalation in the clashes between Israel and Hezbollah began Friday, when Israel targeted Nasrallah in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in one of the largest blasts to hit the Lebanese capital in years.
