King Salman Orders $493 Mln in ‘Ramadan Aid’ for Social Security Beneficiaries

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz ordered on Monday the distribution of "Ramadan Aid" worth 1.85 billion riyals ($492.6 million) for social security beneficiaries, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Providers of families will get 1,000 riyals each while family members will get 500 riyals each.

The generous gesture reflects King Salman’s keenness on ensuring that the people live a dignified life, said SPA.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Wednesday sent a cable of congratulations to Donald Trump on winning the US presidential election.

King Salman wished Trump success and the American people further progress and prosperity.

He praised the strong historic ties between their countries, emphasizing the shared desire to further strengthen these bonds in all areas.  

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Trump a similar cable and later held telephone talks with him.

The Kingdom looks forward to bolstering the historic and strategic ties between Saudi Arabia and the US, wishing the friendly American people progress and prosperity under Trump’s leadership, said Crown Prince Mohammed according to the Saudi Press Agency.

For his part, Trump expressed his gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed.
