Virus Cases in Gulf States Increase
Saudi Arabia has recorded 1,644 new coronavirus cases, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
The Ministry announced on its Twitter account that there were 3,531 new recovery cases, raising the total number of people who have tested negative to 54,553.
The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 441 after 16 patients died.
The UAE’s Health Ministry reported 563 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected patients in the country to 32,532.
The Ministry also confirmed three more deaths, taking the toll to 258 while the total number of recoveries increased to 16,685.
In Oman, the Health Ministry recorded 636 new infections, raising the tally to 9,009.
It said that so far, 2,177 patients have recovered.
The Ministry also reported the death of a 51-year-old Omani woman, increasing the toll to 40 in the Sultanate.
As for Kuwait, it reported 845 new COVID-19 cases, which brought the number of infections to 24,112.
Its Health Ministry said 10 people have died in the past 24 hours, bring the death toll to 185.
