Face Masks: Most Important Tickets at Saudi Airports
Wearing face masks will become critical to access Saudi airports and will take primacy over boarding passes in allowing passengers to take their flights.
As local flights are scheduled to resume on Sunday, The General Authority of Civil Aviation issued a brochure explaining the responsibility of passengers.
Their role begins as soon as they buy the ticket, which must be electronic. They are also required to wear a face mask when they enter the airport.
The Authority also emphasized that “those who are not wearing masks will be barred from traveling” and that masks and gloves are to be worn throughout the duration of flights. Passengers must also undergo medical tests after reserving their flights and inform the authorities if they experience any of the symptoms caused by the coronavirus.
The Authority announced that each passenger is only allowed to carry one hand luggage onboard and that passengers are encouraged to pay electronically and minimize their use of banknotes.
In addition, they are urged to keep a safe distance between one another.
