The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced that it has intercepted and downed four ballistic missiles and seven booby-trapped drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards civilian targets in Saudi Arabia.

Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki said the terrorist Houthis deliberately fired two missiles and six drones from Sanaa in Yemen towards the Kingdom.

Overnight on Sunday, they again fired two more missiles at the Kingdom and later, in the early hours of Monday morning, they launched yet another explosives-laden drone.

None of the projectiles or aircraft reached their targets.

Malki condemned the Houthis’ hostile escalation of attacks, hailing the high effectiveness of the coalition’s joint forces in confronting such threats.

The coalition is taking all necessary measures to protect civilians, he stressed. It is also taking all necessary logistic arrangements to thwart such terrorist acts in line with international humanitarian law.
