Kuwait’s Parliament Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim said on Monday that he received a grilling motion request from MP Shuaib al-Muwaizri against Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Anas al-Saleh.

The grilling motion has been put on the upcoming session's agenda, he added.

Ghanim said the motion includes three axes and a copy of it was sent to Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid and Saleh.

Discussion on the most recent parliamentary motion has been postponed due to the health measures taken to limit the coronavirus outbreak.

It was supposed to take place on July 14 and was filed by MP Riyadh al-Adsani against Finance Minister Barak al-Shitan.

On June 17, the government managed to discuss two motions. The first was filed by MP Faisal al-Kandari against Minister of Education and Higher Education Saud al-Harbi, and the other by Adsani against Shitan.

Saudi Arabia condemned on Wednesday Israel’s publication of maps that show its occupation of parts of Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, claiming these territories as its own.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry slammed such extremist acts that reflect Israel’s “intentions to consolidate its occupation and continue its flagrant violation of the sovereignty of those nations.”

Saudi Arabia called on the international community to assume is responsibility in stopping these violations, “stressing the need to respect the sovereignty and borders of these countries to ease tensions and put a stop to attempts to undermine peace efforts.”
