Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber held talks in Riyadh on Tuesday with United Nations special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths.
He underscored to the envoy the urgent need for experts to access the eroding Safer oil tanker that is stranded off the coast of Ras Issa.
Griffiths hailed Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting peace efforts in Yemen, the most recent of which was its introduction of a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
Al-Jaber, for his part, stressed the Kingdom’s support for Griffiths’ efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution in the war-torn country according to the three references.
