UAE Reports 786 New COVID-19 Cases

The UAE said on Thursday it had registered 786 new coronavirus cases.

The newly infections were confirmed after an additional 93,000 tests were taken, raising the total number of infections to 82,568.

Despite an increase in daily new infections, an additional 661 individuals who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 72,117.

Meanwhile, no deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, the official WAM news agency reported.

With that, the death toll stands at 402, according to the health ministry.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received a written message from President of Angola João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, concerning relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields.

The message was received on behalf of the King by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji during a meeting on Monday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh with Angolan Ambassador Frederico Cardoso.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations, explored avenues to further strengthen cooperation, and discussed issues of common interest.

King Salman also received a written message from Vietnamese President Luong Cuong. The message addressed the relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields.

The message was received by Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi during his meeting with Vietnam’s Ambassador, Hoang Huu Anh, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' headquarters in Riyadh.
