The Saudi Ministry of Energy said on Friday it dealt with a limited fire on Wednesday that broke out near a floating platform belonging to the Jazan oil products terminal.

The limited fire on the platform's floating hoses caused no injuries or fatalities, a ministry official said in remarks carried by the state news agency (SPA).

The fire occurred after the Coalition to Fight Legitimacy in Yemen intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden boats in the southern Red Sea launched by the Houthi militias.

"Such criminal acts directed against vital facilities do not target the Kingdom alone, but they also target the security of oil exports, the stability of energy supplies to the world, the freedom of international trade, and the entire global economy," the official said.

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa pardoned 457 prisoners Wednesday night to mark his 25th anniversary as the nation's ruler.
Bahrain news agency said: “The royal pardon reflects HM the King’s dedication to fostering social cohesion and upholding the principles of justice and the rule of law. It also aims to balance legal accountability with the humanitarian and social circumstances of the inmates, providing them with an opportunity to reintegrate into society. This approach aligns with Bahrain’s commitment to human rights and its prominent standing within the region.”
In April, King Hamad pardoned 1,584 prisoners, including prisoners convicted of triggering chaos.
