The Coalition to Fight Legitimacy in Yemen said Friday it destroyed two mines laid by the Houthi militias in the south of the Red Sea.
The Coalition said a total of 166 marine mines have been removed and destroyed.
The actions of the insurgents, according to the Coalition, threatened maritime security in Bab Al-Mandab and the southern Red Rea.
Meanwhile, the website of the Yemeni army said that Coalition fighter jets launched on Friday raids on Houthi sites near the capital Sanaa and Amran governorate.
The army’s media arm also said that hundreds of Houthi fighters have been killed in battles on the Marib and al-Jawf fronts.
Armed Forces Spokesman Brig. Abdu Majli urged the International Committee of the Red Cross to remove the bodies of Houthi gunmen.
