Oman Reports 557 New COVID-19 Cases

Oman's Ministry of Health reported 557 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases registered in the Sultanate to 124,886.

The ministry said it also registered nine new deaths caused by the virus which raised the death toll to 1,444.

Meanwhile, a total of 116,000 individuals had recovered from the virus.

US Embassy in Bahrain said on Sunday that it has returned to normal staffing and operations, according to a post by the embassy on X, Reuters reported.

Shortly before this month's 12-day war between Israel and Iran, the US military had allowed families of service members in Bahrain to depart the country temporarily.
