The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned on Wednesday the attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Arabia’s Abha international airport.

OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen slammed the Houthis for their continued attacks on Saudi Arabia, noting that the Saudi-led Arab coalition had earlier in the day intercepted and downed two armed Houthi drones fired towards the Kingdom.

He also condemned those backing the militias with weapons and arms in order to deliberately and systematically attack civilians.

He underlined the solidarity of the OIC with the Kingdom, saying it supports all the measures it takes to defend its territories and preserve the security and safety of its citizens and residents.
