The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said on Thursday it had thwarted and destroyed a ballistic missile that Yemen's Houthi militias launched towards Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia.

Coalition spokesman Col. Turki al-Malki said the attack was a “deliberate terrorist attempt” by the Iran-backed militias to target civilians.

The perpetrators of terrorist attacks “will be held accountable in accordance with international law,” he added.

Malki said early on Thursday that the Coalition had thwarted an explosives-laden drone launched by the Houthis towards Khamis Mushait.
