Egypt expressed its strong condemnation of the Houthi militia's continued terrorist attacks against Saudi Arabia, the last of which targeted Riyadh by a ballistic missile, in addition to the bomb-laden drones launched towards the Southern Region of the Kingdom.
In a statement on Sunday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Cairo's solidarity with Saudi Arabia, expressing support for measures taken by the Saudi leadership to preserve its security, stability and citizens’ safety from such cowardly and despicable attacks.
The statement further said that the Houthi attacks represent a grave violation of the international law and a clear threat to regional peace and security.
Earlier on Saturday, the Saudi-led Arab coalition intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards the Saudi capital.
The attack was the latest in a series of airborne assaults by the Houthi militias.
It also destroyed armed drones launched towards Jazan, Khamis Mushait and the Southern Region.
