The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said on Sunday it had intercepted two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis towards the southern Saudi city of Jazan.

The Coalition said earlier that it destroyed 12 armed drones launched by the Iran-backed militias.

Spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki said the missiles and drones were aimed at "civilian sites."

Al-Malki has repeatedly stressed that the Coalition was taking the necessary measures to protect civilians in line with international humanitarian law.
