Twelve modern pianists are celebrating Beethoven's 250th anniversary with new twists on the composer's masterpieces.

World famous pianists like Chilly Gonzales, Sofiane Pamart and Chloe Flower have put their own touch on classical pieces, the global streaming service, Deezer announced on Tuesday in a statement released by the German News Agency.

Each pianist has made one of Beethoven original compositions into their own.

Sofiane Pamart, one of Deezer's top streamed classical music artists of 2020, offers a stunning performance of some of Beethoven's pieces, while Pianist, composer and producer Chloe Flower added a romantic, lyrical feel on her interpretation of Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 5".

The new album follows the launch of Deezer's joint "Classical Revival" music report, in association with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The report found 18-25s now account for 34 percent of Classical streamers worldwide – an audience that grew considerably during the pandemic.

"Classical music has captivated listeners of all ages during this difficult time. Our new album aims to bring together all types of classical music lovers by mixing contemporary beats with traditional sounds", said Yannick Fage, Deezer's classical music editor.

"It's the very first time that artists from this new classical scene have recomposed pieces by an icon like Beethoven. I hope our unique take on this amazing composer can help fans celebrate his momentous 250th anniversary", he added.

According to the statement, the album features 24 new and original masterpieces and is available exclusively on Deezer's "Beethoven Channel" for one month.

Kate, the Princess of Wales, is set to present the trophy to the winner of the women's singles final at Wimbledon on Saturday after opting not to attend the match last year while she was recovering from cancer.

The All England Club said Kate, the wife of Prince William, will be back in the Royal Box on Center Court for the match between eighth-seeded Iga Swiatek and No. 13 Amanda Anisimova. She will then take part in the on-court trophy presentation, The AP news reported.

Kate has been the patron of the All England Club since 2016 and has regularly attended the men's and women's finals. However, she was not there when Barbora Krejcikova defeated Jasmine Paolini for the women's title last year.

She did hand the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz after his victory over Novak Djokovic in the men's final, when she made only her second public appearance since announcing she was diagnosed with cancer.

She has been gradually returning to public duties since since announcing last fall that she had completed chemotherapy, and took part in welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron during his state visit to Britain this week.
