UAE Announces 1,988 New COVID-19 Cases, 1,922 Recoveries

UAE Announces 1,988 New COVID-19 Cases, 1,922 Recoveries

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1,988 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases to 618,148.

This came after it conducted 249,333 COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, state news agency WAM reported.

It also announced six deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,773.

MoHAP also noted that 1,922 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 597,008.

The Ministry called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone call on Wednesday with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.

The two officials discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.
