Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the pioneering role played by Saudi Arabia in protecting the planet through the green initiatives it has presented to that end.
Modi received Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah in New Delhi on Monday.
The PM lauded the Saudi Green and Middle East Green initiatives that were announced earlier this year by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
Prince Faisal conveyed to Modi the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed.
Their talks focused on the strong historic relations that bind Saudi Arabia and India and their people. They tackled ways to bolster these ties, as well as various regional and international issues of interest.
They covered means to bolster the economic partnership between Saudi Arabia and India in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Prince Faisal also held talks with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
He tweeted that he held “fruitful discussions” with Jaishankar on bilateral and regional issues. “We continue to extend our strategic partnership.”
