For the first time in years, Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi ended the state of emergency across the country, announcing that “Egypt, thanks to its great people and loyal men, has become an oasis of security and stability in the region.”

Sisi said new wars, including the fourth- and fifth-generation warfare, are not fought with arms but with awareness and knowledge.

Attending a military academy graduation, Sisi stressed the need to remember to honor the “heroic martyrs without whom we could not have achieved security and stability.”

Cadets from various military academies and forces took part in the graduation ceremony. They swore an oath before the president to protect the homeland and the Egyptian people.

Sisi saluted the graduates, saying they are responsible for protecting the country and themselves.

Days earlier, while attending the Ministry of Awqaf’s commemoration of the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, Sii stressed that building the awareness of any nation correctly is one of the most critical factors for its stability and progress.

He said the teachings of Islam spread by Prophet Mohammed call for achieving coexistence, social peace among people, and ensuring the right of all people to a decent life.

Sisi urged religious authorities to double their efforts to spread tolerance and correct religious misconceptions.
