The Qatari foreign ministry strongly condemned on Saturday Lebanese Information Minister George Kordahi’s offensive comments against Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, it described Kordahi’s remarks as “irresponsible towards his country and Arab causes alike.”

“He was better off not dragging fraternal Lebanon in foreign crises,” it added.

The foreign ministry called on the Lebanese government to “immediately take the necessary measures” to address the crisis, calm the situation and “mend the rift between brothers.”
