The Saudi-led Arab coalition said on Sunday that the Kingdom's air defenses shot down an armed drone fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards Najran

The aircraft attempted to attack Najran airport.

The coalition said the shrapnel from the drone landed on a nearby residential area.

No civilians were injured in the incident.

The drone was launched from Sanaa International Airport, revealed the coalition.

The Houthi attacks undermine the policy of restraint and efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen, it added, stressing that it reserves the right to counter the violations.
