Mohammed Al Jaber, the Saudi ambassador to Yemen and the supervisor of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), met on Friday with a delegation of US officials to discuss recent developments and the situation in the country.

Al Jaber met with Martina Strong, the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in the Kingdom, and Catherine Westley, the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Yemen, with whom he reviewed the political and economic situation and efforts to achieve peace.

The meeting also touched on violations committed by the Houthi militias, specifically their continued attacks on civilian sites and economic facilities within the Kingdom, the disruption of the ceasefire, in addition to the recent attack on the US embassy compound in Sanaa and the detention of a number of employees.

The Saudi and US officials emphasized the need to complete the implementation of the Riyadh agreement.
