The Saudi-Iraqi joint political, security and military council held its third meeting on Sunday that was chaired by the neighbors' respective foreign ministers Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Dr. Fuad Mohammed Hussein.
The council is part of the joint coordination council set up between the Kingdom and Iraq.
Sunday's meeting followed up on previous discussions and addressed efforts to bolster bilateral relations on the political, security and military levels.
Separately, Prince Faisal received a telephone call from his French counterpart Jean Yves Le Drian to discuss bilateral ties between their countries, as well as regional and international developments.
