Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi affirmed Egypt's support to the Palestinian cause and all efforts exerted to revive the stalled peace process.
This came during his meeting Tuesday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Sharm el Sheikh on the sideline of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum.
Head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel also attended the meeting.
Sisi asserted that his country is keen to back the current Palestinian diplomatic efforts, internationally and regionally, to encourage the resumption of peace negotiations.
For his part, Abbas hailed Egypt's support to the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed reconstruction efforts of the Gaza Strip as well as the latest developments in Palestinian on the regional and international levels.
