Saudi Arabia strongly condemned on Monday the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen for attempting to attack civilian locations in the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE defenses thwarted on Monday a ballistic missile attack by the Houthis targeting Abu Dhabi.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stressed that the Kingdom stands firmly with UAE against everything that threatens its security and stability.

It underlined Saudi Arabia's continued leadership of the Arab coalition that is aiming to restore legitimacy in Yemen.

The ministry reiterated Riyadh's complete solidarity with the UAE against these terrorist attacks, saying it supports all measures it takes to preserve its security and safety of its citizens and residents.
