Saudi students won 13 awards at the International Exhibition of Inventions, Innovations, and Technology (ITEX 2022) in Malaysia, days after the Saudi science and engineering team received 22 international awards at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2022) in the US.
Saudi male and female students have won six major golden prizes in various scientific fields at the exhibition.
Wissam al-Maliki and Ismail Safrata received an award for automation and operations, Faisal al-Mahish for materials, Jana Zakai for information, communication, technology, and multimedia, Amira al-Ajlan for biotechnology and health, and Jana al-Rifi for the environment.
Saudis achieved two silver prizes at the exhibition with Maimouna Fatani in the field of environment and Mashari al-Dosari in the field of materials.
Jana Zakai, Amira al-Ajlan, and Faisal al-Mahish received special prizes from IETEX for the best innovation, and Maimouna Fatani and Jana al-Rifi received two honorary awards from the Gulf Patent Council.
Saudi students’ participation comes within the Ministry of Education’s approach to supporting talented and creative pupils, nurturing and encouraging them, leading to their participation and representation of the Kingdom in international forums and competitions.
ITEX 2022 is an international platform for attracting inventions and innovations in various fields, such as science and technology. It aims at attracting interested innovators, inventors, investors, and manufacturers worldwide to explore new inventions and innovations in different fields.
