UAE’s Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, India’s Modi Discuss Bilateral Ties

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

They discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, in light of the comprehensive strategic and economic partnership agreements, and means of bolstering them to serve their people and countries’ interests.

Modi offered his condolences to the UAE President and people on the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, recalling his generous humanitarian values and the progress witnessed in the Emirati-Indian ties at all levels.

He also congratulated Sheikh Mohamed on assuming the presidency of the UAE, wishing him success in leading his country and achieving more progress and development.

The Premier said he looks forward to working more in the future to enhance bilateral ties in various fields.

Sheikh Mohamed, for his part, thanked Modi for his sincere feelings towards the United Arab Emirates and wished stability and prosperity for the people of India.

He also underscored the strategic ties between Abu Dhabi and New Delhi and their joint keenness to develop them into wider horizons.

Sheikh Mohamed further hailed the Indian community's contribution to the development, building and progress of the UAE since its establishment.

He also praised its role to boost cultural and economic bonds between the two friendly countries and peoples, as well as the considerable contribution of all communities residing in the UAE from fraternal countries.
