AlUla Moments, the annual initiative transforming the ancient desert city in Saudi Arabia, has announced its top events and festivals for the remainder of 2022.

Kickstarting in September, events will include relaxation and recreation activities, “Winter at Tantora” and the new Ancient Kingdoms Festival.

Moreover, AlUla will host the returning Azimuth Festival on the weekend of Saudi National Day. The three-day event will take place from September 22 to 24 and feature regional and global entertainers, artists and chefs.

The festival will include performances and artworks exhibited around the heritage sites in AlUla and chefs adding fresh takes on Saudi cuisine.

Connecting mind and body with diverse experiences, the AlUla Wellness Festival is two weeks dedicated to celebrating the silence of the AlUla Oasis and the Arabian Desert. The festival will feature world-class industry experts and wellness practitioners.

Living and breathing heritage, the natural oases of North West Arabia were a cradle of ancient civilizations.

Through the 10-day Ancient Kingdoms Festival, visitors will unlock the world of three ancient interconnected Oases - AlUla, Khaybar and Tayma. These lands are filled with stories, uniting explorers, intellectuals and creatives in these ancient crossroads of history.

Held for the first time, the Ancient Kingdoms Festival comes to present experiences inspired by the landmarks of 7000 years of successive civilizations that made the Arabian Peninsula their home. It will also present experiences inspired by the famous incense trade route that established AlUla’s position as a crossroads of culture and trade.

After the Ancient Kingdoms Festival, Winter at Tantora will be returning from December 21 to January 21, the event concludes the AlUla Moments calendar with intimate performances by internationally acclaimed musicians, as well as a series of events in theatre, fashion and arts.
