Saudi Arabia expressed on Tuesday its sorrow over the loss of life during clashes that rocked Iraq on Monday.

The Foreign Ministry called on all parties and political forces to stand united to “preserve the gains of the people.”

It added that it was following the developments in Iraq with deep concern, lamenting the loss of life.

It stressed that the Kingdom supports all efforts aimed at averting Iraq and its people the pain of division and internal conflict.

It urged all parties to resort to peaceful means to meet the demands of the fraternal Iraqi people to secure their safe future, stability and prosperity.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 1,000 food baskets to the displaced families in the Berber and Abidiya localities in the River Nile State of the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 5,850 individuals, the Saudi Press Agency said on Friday.
This assistance is part of the food security support project in the Republic of Sudan for the year 2024.
It comes within the framework of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people as a result of their humanitarian crisis.
