Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received on Monday a written message from China’s President Xi Jinping.

The message tackled the close and strong bilateral relations that bind Saudi Arabia and China and ways to bolster them in various fields.

Xi also expressed China’s support to Saudi Arabia’s bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.

The message was received by Saudi deputy Foreign Minister Waleed al-Khuraiji, on behalf of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, from China’s Ambassador to the Kingdom Chen Weiqing during a meeting in Riyadh on Monday.

The officials discussed bilateral relations between Riyadh and Beijing and ways to boost them in all fields.

They also exchanged views on issues of common interest.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Monday a cable of congratulations to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on his country's National Day.

He wished King Hamad continued good health and happiness, and the government and people of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

King Salman underscored the depth of the historic relations between their countries, which, he said, the two leaders are keen to develop further.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent King Hamad a similar cable on the occasion.

King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed also sent separate cables of congratulations to Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his country's Independence Day.
