King Salman Receives Credentials of Ambassadors of Several Countries

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Jeddah on Tuesday the credentials of a number of ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries appointed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense attended the ceremony.

King Salman received the credentials of the ambassadors of Sri Lanka, Dominican Republic, Spain, Guinea Bissau, Indonesia, Portugal, Peru, Benin, Bahrain, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Algeria and Vietnam.

King Salman welcomed the ambassadors, wishing them success in their tasks to strengthen and develop relations between the Kingdom and their countries.

The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials.

GCC’s Albudaiwi Discusses Gaza with European Parliament Group

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi stressed on Monday the need to address and bolster stability and security in the region, foremost of which is the dire situation in the Gaza Strip.

He made his remarks as he received in Riyadh a European Parliament delegation from the Committee on Foreign Affairs, headed by David McAllister.

The officials reviewed joint files and the progress of cooperation between the GCC and the European Union (EU), ways to deepen the strategic partnership between them in various fields, and regional and international issues of common interest.

On Gaza, Albudaiwi underlined the need for cooperation and coordination to work towards an immediate ceasefire, as well as to activate all relevant international and UN resolutions that will help in protecting people and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid.
