The Saudi Ministry of Interior is participating in International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2023 that opened in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

The exhibition concludes on February 24.

The Saudi pavilion is showcasing major national institutions and companies specialized in the field of military, defense and security industries.

The Ministry of Interior's participation underscores Saudi Arabia's unremitting support for the military and security industries sector.

The 16th edition of IDEX and the 7th Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) kicked off with the participation of more than 1,350 companies, reported the United Arab Emirates’ state news agency WAM.

The five-day events are being held under the patronage of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.

This year's edition, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the launch of IDEX, is set to be the largest in the history of the event, attracting participants from all over the world to showcase the latest advancements in the international defense sector.

The current edition of NAVDEX will witness the participation of a number of naval vessels from seven countries, namely Pakistan, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Italy, China, India and the UAE.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call on Wednesday from British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Lammy.
During the talks, they discussed regional developments and the efforts to address them.

He also received a phone call from Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, with whom he discussed regional developments and efforts undertaken to address them.
