Head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi met on Sunday with Saudi ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al-Jaber.
During the meeting, Al-Jaber conveyed the greetings of the Saudi leadership and its wishes that the current talks with all Yemeni parties would lead to reviving the political process, and achieve a comprehensive and sustainable solution in Yemen.
The council was also briefed about Sanaa meetings held with Houthis between 8 and 13 April.
The envoy said he also wants to “support the prisoner exchange process and explore venues of dialogue between Yemeni components to reach a sustainable and comprehensive political solution.”
For his part, president of Yemen’s leadership council hailed the efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia and Oman in the recent positive developments toward peace in the country, stressing the importance of taking the necessary humanitarian steps to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
