Five Saudis, More than 190 Foreigners Evacuated From Sudan Arrive in Jeddah

Five Saudi nationals and 198 citizens from ten different countries arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday following their evacuation from Sudan.

Among those evacuated from Sudan under directives from Saudi Arabia were nationals from Russia, the United Kingdom, China, the United States of America, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Pakistan.

All evacuees were transported through HMS Abha, where the Kingdom has worked to provide all the necessary needs in preparation for facilitating their departure to their countries, state news agency SPA reported.

This brings the total number of evacuees from Sudan since the evacuations started to 2,351 persons, including 119 Saudi citizens and 2,232 people from 67 nationalities.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Monday a cable of congratulations to France’s President Emmanuel Macron on his country's National Day.

King Salman wished Macron continued good health and happiness, and the government and people of France steady progress and prosperity.

He also praised relations binding their countries, which both peoples are keen to strengthen.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Macron a similar cable on the occasion.
