Five Saudis, More than 190 Foreigners Evacuated From Sudan Arrive in Jeddah

Five Saudi nationals and 198 citizens from ten different countries arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday following their evacuation from Sudan.

Among those evacuated from Sudan under directives from Saudi Arabia were nationals from Russia, the United Kingdom, China, the United States of America, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Pakistan.

All evacuees were transported through HMS Abha, where the Kingdom has worked to provide all the necessary needs in preparation for facilitating their departure to their countries, state news agency SPA reported.

This brings the total number of evacuees from Sudan since the evacuations started to 2,351 persons, including 119 Saudi citizens and 2,232 people from 67 nationalities.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a written message from Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them in various fields.

The message was received by Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Agency Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi during a meeting on Thursday with Venezuelan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia David Velasquez Caraballo.

During the talks, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop and strengthen them in various fields, in addition to discussing topics of mutual interest.
