The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that 99.7 percent of suspected cholera patients, who have access to health services, are still alive.
Some 10 days ago, the organization warned that the number of suspected cases could hit one million.
Field wise, the Yemeni army cleared al-Ajashar camp located in al-Jawf province, capturing coup militiamen.
On another scope, reports came in on militias failing to storm a village of al-Zoob in Al Bayda Governorate.
National Army forces in Al-Jowf province (north of Yemen) cleared the area and the camp of Al-Ajashr after striking Houthi militiamen with a high-impact attack backed with a complete lock-down of the area.
National army forces launched a forceful attack on coup positions, in Moqradaah area, south of the camp Ajashr as well as clamping on the north-west, which enabled them to liberate the area, a military source told Asharq Al-Awsat.
Hours after launching the operation, the National Army Forces gained full control over the camp, the source added.
Using lock-down forced Houthi militiamen to either surrender or be killed. In the attack, 16 coup combatants were killed and other sustained injuries.
On the other hand, some reports said that six militiamen were detained.
“The operation carried out by the border guards’ first brigade liberated eastern areas in Jawf advancing towards Saada zones—completely securing the land trail, ” the source said.
“Al-Ajashar camp holds strategic importance because. Fortified by mountains Houthi militias were stationed there and used the location to store weapons,” the source explained.
It was from that camp that militias plotted and executed attacks against National Army posts and even cross-border attacks against neighboring Saudi Arabia.
