The official gazette in Egypt released on Wednesday a court ruling issued last week that places ISIS-affiliate, the Sinai State, on the terrorism blacklist.
More than 300 terror suspects have also been blacklisted.
Formerly known as Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, Sinai State has been active in North Sinai where it announced its allegiance to ISIS in 2014, eventually changing its name.
The group had claimed responsibility for several attacks that have left hundreds of civilians, policemen and members of the armed forces dead throughout the country since the ouster in 2013 of President Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The 319 suspects that have been blacklisted are currently standing trial before the higher state security tribunal. They are charged with belonging to the terrorist Sinai State, recruiting members for it, promoting ISIS thought and attacking the armed forces and Christians.
The Egyptian armed forces have earlier this year launched an offensive to expel terrorists from North Sinai. The operation is still ongoing.
