Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed that the state will continue its support to the youth to achieve a better future for the nation.
“On the International Youth Day, I salute the enthusiastic and promising Egyptian youths who are proving day by day that they are the secret of the strength and vitality of our great nation. I affirm that the Egyptian state is determined to continue its support to the youth and prepare them in a way that achieves a better future for our Egypt,” said Sisi on his official Twitter account.
The United Nations is celebrating International Youth Day this year under the theme of “Transforming Education”.
The president had inaugurated the 7th edition of the conference at the New Administrative Capital (NAC) in late July.
More than 1,500 youths from Egypt and Africa, ambassadors and representatives of international institutions took part in the event.
At the time, Sisi said these conferences give hope and generate positivity, voicing his appreciation for the Egyptian people’s efforts to reach a better future.
Egypt had held the country's first National Youth Conference in Sharm el-Sheikh in October 2016.
