Oman Celebrates its 49th National Day with Military Parade

Oman celebrated on Monday its 49th National Day with a military parade attended by Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

The royal arrived at the military parade at Said bin Sultan naval base in Muscat, according to the official Oman News Agency.

Celebrations were held across the Sultanate to mark the 49th National Day which falls on the 18th of November each year that coincides with the Sultan's assumption of power in 1970.

Oman's foreign policy remains active in resolving crises, building balance between different regional and international trends, and working towards peaceful resolution of differences and achieving security and stability in the region.

The celebration of the 49th anniversary took place amid a significant growth momentum that puts the Omani economy on the threshold of a new stage to achieve the Oman 2040 Vision.

The Sultanate is working to encourage investment and the implementation of major strategic and productive projects to diversify sources of income and push its non-oil sectors and encourage small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Sultanate had achieved a higher level of safety and stability. It scored zero on the Global Terrorism Index which represents the highest level of security from terrorist threats.

KSrelief Signs Agreement for Residential Complex in Yemen's Hajjah Governorate

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement with a civil society organization to establish a residential complex for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Midi District of Yemen's Hajjah Governorate. The project, valued at $3.813 million, will benefit 4,094 individuals.

The agreement was signed by KSrelief’s Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al Baiz at the center's headquarters in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.

The initiative will deliver 232 economic housing units, each consisting of two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and an open courtyard. Additional facilities will include a secondary school, a mosque, and a children’s playground, supporting both the residents and the host community.

The project reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to alleviate the hardships faced by the Yemeni people amid the ongoing crisis in their country.
