Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met on Tuesday with the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Naif bin Falah Al Hajraf, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

During the meeting held at Qasr Al Hosn, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Dr. Al Hajraf and wished him success in his new assignment to reinforce the Gulf joint action and to meet the aspirations of the GCC peoples for further development, progress and prosperity, WAM said.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer on Friday morning in Makkah, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

He joined worshippers who filled the Grand Mosque and its surrounding courtyards to mark the first day of Shawwal 1447 AH.

Saudi Arabia’s leadership marked the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr by exchanging warm greetings with leaders across the Islamic world, reinforcing bonds of unity and shared faith, the Saudi Press Agency reported Friday.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, exchanged congratulatory messages with the leaders of Islamic countries.

In their messages, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince expressed appreciation for the kind wishes and sincere prayers and prayed to Allah Almighty to accept everyone's good deeds and to return this blessed occasion to the Islamic nation with goodness, blessings, and continued security and stability.
