MBC Among Top 20 Media Firms in Social Media Video Views

MBC Group has joined the list of top 20 media companies for social media video views, according to the latest results for April released by Tubular Labs.

Tubular is the world-leader in social video analytics and sponsored video intelligence.

Its report said MBC Group achieved significant growth compared to March, jumping 13 positions on the leaderboard for global media and entertainment entities.

The Group moved from the 32nd rank to 19th, it said.

Tubular Labs’ top five includes The Walt Disney Company, ViacomCBS, Comcast, WarnerMedia and TheSoul Publishing.

In April, MBC Group achieved a total of 2.5bn social video views, compared to 1.6bn views in March, resulting in a month-on-month (MOM) growth of +58 percent.

As per April’s Tubular Labs result, MBC Group has seen a video view growth in each tracked platform. On YouTube, views increased by 37.5 percent, on Facebook by 76.6 percent.

Instagram saw a growth of 94.8 percent while Twitter views increased by 53.8 percent.

Riyadh Season 2024 has achieved a historic milestone, surpassing 16 million visitors, according to Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Advisor Turki AlalShikh.

Launched in October, the Riyadh Season has captivated audiences with its diverse range of events and newly introduced areas, attracting visitors from the Kingdom and abroad. Its exceptional success is attributed to a wide variety of offerings, including boxing and wrestling matches, international concerts, unique dining experiences, scenic gardens, and innovative entertainment zones.

The record-breaking attendance was further bolstered by the mid-term break of the second semester, which featured the unveiling of the "Dunes of Arabia" area, popular among camping and winter atmosphere enthusiasts. Additionally, the "Boulevard Runway" area drew aviation enthusiasts, further enhancing the season’s appeal.
