The movies of secret intelligence officer James Bond known as 007 have a loyal audience that keeps an eye on every new production, and always compares the names who played this role seen as a major starting point in the journey of any actor.
A recent poll by RadioTimes.com showed that famous Scottish Actor Sean Connery is the finest screen version of the British secret agent, the German News Agency reported on Tuesday.
According to the poll, Connery has been voted as the best 007 with 44 percent of the vote, followed by Timothy Dalton with 32 percent, and Pierce Brosnan with 23 percent.
The poll saw the participation of 14,000 people who voted on different rounds, each featuring two actors who played James Bond.
In the first round, Connery knock out current 007 Actor Daniel Craig, coming out on top with 56 percent of the vote compared to Craig's 43 percent.
Pierce Brosnan won Round 2 with 76 percent against his opponent George Lazenby's 24 percent who played 007 in 1969.
In Round 3, Roger Moore (41 percent) was knocked out by Timothy Dalton (49 percent).
The grand final thus pitted Connery against both Dalton and Brosnan, with the Scottish actor emerging the victor.
Connery, 89, played Bond five times in the official film series. The role was also played seven times by Roger Moore, two times by Dalton, four times by Brosnan, and five times by Craig.
