A new poetry collection by Sudan’s Fidaili Jamma will be released soon.
“Walking the Tightrope” set to be published by Al Musawarat Publishing House, Khartoum. It includes 44 poems, most of them were written during the poet's three-decade exile outside Sudan. That's why the reader will notice most of the poems have two major common factors: motherland and humanity.
This collection comes after three others issued separately. The first, “In the Valleys of Expatriation,” was released by the Sudanese National Council of Arts and Literatures in 1973, when he was a student at the Khartoum University.
The second, “Singing in Time of Fear,” was released by the Al Thakafa Publishing House, Khartoum, in 1985; and in 2010, he released his famous collection “Street in Al Qobbah Neighborhood,” by Al Dawliya Publishing.
The cover of the new collection is designed by Sudanese artist and designer Abdulilah Sadiq.
