The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced on Saturday that it intercepted and destroyed seven armed drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against the southern regions of the Kingdom.
The coalition slammed the Houthis for their continued deliberate attacks against Saudi Arabia, describing them as war crimes.
It stressed that it was taking the necessary operational measures to protect civilians and civilian installations.
It later announced that it shot down two more drones, this time fired at the southern region of Khamis Mushait.
A third Houthi drone fired towards Najran city was shot down later on Saturday.
Early on Saturday, the coalition also destroyed another Houthi armed drone aimed at Khamis Mushait.
