Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met on Tuesday with athlete Tarek al-Hamdi, the winner of the silver medal in the men’s karate competition at the Tokyo Olympics.
Crown Prince Mohammed congratulated Hamdi on his achievement, wishing him more success in the future.
For his part, Hamdi expressed his honor in meeting with the Crown Prince, hailing his support to all athletes, as well as karate.
This support motivates them to do their best at all international competitions, he remarked.
Sports Minister and President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Federation Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Faisal was present at the meeting.
