Saudi Arabia, Russia Sign Military Cooperation Deal

Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held talks in Moscow on Monday with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

The officials discussed military and defense cooperation and joint efforts to preserve regional security and stability. They also tackled challenges facing their countries.

The meeting aimed “to explore ways to strengthen the military and defense cooperation between our two countries,” tweeted Prince Khalid.

Prince Khalid and his Russian counterpart Alexander Fomin later signed a military cooperation agreement.

The Saudi royal had traveled to Russia to take part in the Russia’s International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2020” that kicked off on Monday.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the trilateral treaty between Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on defining the Border Junction and the signing of the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship among the three countries.

The Kingdom extended its sincere congratulations to the governments and peoples of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on signing the treaty and wished them continued stability and prosperity.
