UAE Says Destroys 2 Ballistic Missiles Fired at it by Houthis in Yemen

The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense forces intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired by the terrorist Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against the country.

The ministry confirmed there were no casualties resulting from the attack, as the fragments of the ballistic missiles fell in different areas around the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, reported the state news agency (WAM).

In its statement, the ministry stressed its "full readiness to deal with any threats," adding that it will "take all necessary measures to protect the UAE from any attacks."

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a cable of congratulations to President Joseph Aoun on his election as President of the Lebanese Republic and on taking the constitutional oath.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed his wishes for President Aoun's success and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Lebanon.

For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who is also the Saudi Prime Minister, has sent a cable of congratulations to Aoun, extending his wishes for President Aoun's success and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Lebanon.
