Ehsan Platform Launches Friday in Saudi Arabia

Saudis await the launch of the second national campaign for charitable work on Friday evening after receiving the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The campaign is carried out via the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan). It is launched during Ramadan month and includes donations and projects in various fields such as educational, health, social, relief, environmental, and economic charitable works.

The campaign also supports many vulnerable groups and needy families, contributes to Sokia watering services, and provides treatment to patients in need.

The platform launched the “Tyassarat” service to provide opportunities for donations to pay judicial bills and meet the eligibility conditions. In addition to the “Forijat” service that allows contributions for those convicted in non-criminal financial cases, whether they are Saudi citizens or residents.

The president of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, said that the initiative is an extension of the King’s care for all aspects of charitable work during this holy month.

Ghamdi, also chairman of the Ehsan Supervisory Committee, thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for their excellent care and keenness on charity work and the tremendous support they are extending to charitable works.

He said that these are based on their keenness for the support to reach its beneficiaries with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability through the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work.

SDAIA is launching the National Campaign for Charitable Work for the second year in a row as an extension of the great turnout that the campaign enjoyed in its first year during Ramadan.

The campaign also enables philanthropists, financiers, and donors to make their donations in a reliable and secure digital way to the various charitable opportunities and fields offered by the Ehsan platform.

Ehsan platform is monitored by a supervisory committee of 12 government agencies and a Sharia committee chaired by the advisor in the Royal Court and member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Mutlaq.

The total donations received since its launch amounted to more than $380 million, with more than 22 million donation operations benefiting more than 4 million beneficiaries.

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned on Saturday the blatant Israeli attack against military infrastructure in southern Syria.

A Foreign Ministry statement condemned the attack as a flagrant violation of international law and Syria’s sovereignty.

“Saudi Arabia reiterates its rejection of this blatant aggression and of Israel's violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement,” it said.

“The Kingdom renews its call to the international community to put an end to Israel's violations of international laws and norms. The Kingdom affirms its solidarity with Syria and its support for all efforts aimed at preserving its sovereignty, maintaining its territorial integrity and unity and achieving security and stability for its people,” it stressed.

Israel's military said on Friday it had struck southern Syria in response to what it called attacks against the Druze community in Sweida province.
