UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan appointed with the approval of the UAE Federal Supreme Council, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister of the UAE and minister of Presidential Court, as UAE Vice President alongside Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed also named Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al-Nahyan as deputy rulers of Abu Dhabi.

The UAE President appointed Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan as crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

Born in Abu Dhabi in 1970, Sheikh Mansour completed his higher education in the US, earning a bachelor's degree in international relations in 1993.

Sheikh Mansour began his career as the chairman of the office of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan in 1997. He served in 2009 as deputy prime minister and minister of the Presidential Court.

Sheikh Mansour then took the role of minister of presidential affairs in 2004. Later he was appointed president of the Ministerial Services Council and the Emirates Investment Authority in 2006 and 2007, respectively.

He currently serves in several posts in Abu Dhabi and at the level of the federal government.

Sheikh Mansour is also the chairman of Mubadala, Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday appointed the CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mansour Ibrahim al-Mahmoud, as the country's next minister of health.

The Emir appointed Mohammed Saif Saeed al Suwaidi as QIA's next CEO.

As part of Tuesday's cabinet shuffle, Qatar's Emir also appointed Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani as the country's new minister of commerce and industry.
Sheikh Faisal is QIA's chief of Asia-Pacific and Africa investments and the chairman of Qatari telecoms group Ooredoo. It is unclear if he will remain in those roles.
The Emir appointed Lolwah bint Rashid Al-Khater as the new education minister. She served previously as minister of state for international cooperation and led Qatar's global humanitarian efforts, especially in Gaza and Lebanon.
