The Saudi government stressed on Tuesday the Kingdom’s constant keenness on uniting Arab ranks and providing the suitable conditions to establish stability and prosperity in the region.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the cabinet meeting that was held in Jeddah.

The cabinet underlined the importance the Kingdom places on sustainable development and as president of the Arab League summit, will work on initiatives that aim to promote joint cooperation in various social, economic, cultural and environment fields.

The ministers praised the outcomes of the Arab League summit that was held in Jeddah on Friday. They hailed the Jeddah Declaration that opens a new chapter of joint work and solidarity against challenges and hardships in the Arab world to ultimately establish a promising future for generations to come.

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari said the ministers were briefed on the meetings Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held with Arab rulers and the president of Ukraine during the summit. The talks tackled bilateral relations and means to develop them.

The ministers were briefed on the outcomes of the fourth session of the Saudi-Algerian Political Consultation Committee and the fourth meeting of the Political, Security and Military Committee of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council.

The ministers reviewed latest regional and international developments, most notably the conflict in Sudan. They welcomed the Kingdom’s efforts in the signing of a seven-day ceasefire agreement and the humanitarian arrangements made by the parties to the conflict, hoping that talks will bring about a permanent halt of hostilities and activate the political process, said Al-Dosari.

The cabinet lauded the Kingdom's launch of the scientific mission at the International Space Station (ISS), where two Saudi astronauts are on board. The mission is bound to yield scientific results that will serve humanity and help achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom and objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in this area.
