Following the successful application of the real estate registry in the Al-Falah neighborhood in the Riyadh region (central Saudi Arabia), and its contribution to the implementation of the updated digital map for the first time in the country, officials at the General Real Estate Authority revealed to Asharq Al-Awsat a plan to apply the new model to all districts of the Kingdom.
Experts told Asharq Al-Awsat that the real estate registry contributes to raising the level of transparency in the local market, by creating a historical record of properties in the Kingdom, in addition to reducing the flow of cases in the courts, which makes the investment climate more attractive to capital.
The Real Estate General Authority stressed that the digital system aims to enhance the accuracy of real estate information, preserve the rights of dealers in the sector and increase investment attractiveness.
The Authority has developed an accurate real estate map of Al-Falah neighborhood, through precise surveying, using modern geospatial technologies.
After applying the new system on all real estate in the Kingdom, the Authority is seeking to develop a comprehensive register with complete information and data.
The register will include all residential, commercial, agricultural, industrial and other real estate units, in addition to government real estate in the Kingdom.
Real estate expert Majed Al-Rukban told Asharq Al-Awsat that the new system will help in raising the level of transparency in the local market by creating a record of properties, in addition to boosting the reliability and reducing real estate cases before the courts.
He underlined the importance of using technology to facilitate the registration process, whether in aerial photography techniques or even satellite archives. He also said it helps with queries and verification of data.
Real estate expert Mohammad Al-Husami told Asharq Al-Awsat that the real estate registry complements the databases in all Saudi regions, to create a more attractive climate for investments.
